Installation of The 'pulana' Precinct Murals

30 July 2025

As part of our NAIDOC Week celebrations, all students toured our newly completed pulana Precinct art installations. This project led by Ms Michelle O’Grady (Lead Teacher: Aboriginal Liaison), saw these vibrant murals, created by artists Jamin and Luke, depict the animals that represent each of our K–2 classrooms.

  • Kindergarten – tuminana (Little Fairy Penguin)
  • Prep – larila (Platypus)
  • Year 1 – timita (Possum)
  • Year 2 – tuti (Sand Crab)

More than just beautiful additions to our campus, these artworks are designed to serve as teaching tools — sparking conversations about connection to Country, cultural symbolism, and the rich traditions of First Nations peoples.

We thank our artists for helping us deepen our understanding and appreciation of Australia’s First Nations heritage and legacy.

WIN News Tasmania featured a segment on the murals. You can view the coverage in the video linked below.
