Dominic College’s primary learning and curriculum program is designed to build a strong foundation for every student. Our approach fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning. With a focus on both academic and emotional development, our dedicated teachers use innovative, student-centered teaching methods tailored to each child’s unique learning style.

Prep – Year 2 

In the early primary years, the focus is on developing strong literacy and numeracy skills—essential foundations for future learning. From Prep onwards, students attend school full-time, five days a week (Monday to Friday), supporting consistency and routine as they transition into formal education.

As students progress through Prep-Year 2 they begin to explore all eight key learning areas: 

• English

• Mathematics

• Science

• Health and Physical Education (HPE)

• Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS)

Years 3 – 6 

Upper primary education marks a critical stage in a child's academic and personal development.  In Years 3 to 6, the curriculum is designed to build upon earlier learning experiences while preparing students for the challenges of secondary education. The focus is on fostering a deep understanding of core subjects, while also encouraging critical thinking, creativity, and independent inquiry.
